Description
This photograph was digitally altered because one of the babies was hiding behind the mamma cow and it made the mamma look as though she had extra legs. In this version the hiding baby cow was digitally removed.
Photo Story:
It was March 1, 2015
I stepped outside one morning and there was a blanket of fog on the pasture. It was quite surreal and I was captivated by the misty view.
The damp air was all around as the clouds draped like a veil of chiffon fabric across the distant land. The colors were all very, muted and the details were obscure. I couldn’t help but feel a softness and gentle energy around the cows.
I wanted to experiment with my new camera and see what kind of photographs I could capture.
Fog is a funny thing it doesn’t always like to be photographed.
The cows were peacefully grazing almost in slow motion.
I didn’t want to disturb the cows I merely wanted to observe them and watch for a candid moment.
Most of the cows paid little attention to my presence but a few of them stopped and looked at me. It was like me looking at them looking at me.
A couple of the babies stayed close to their mother for protection as the strange creature (me) moved towards them.
It was a peaceful moment in nature just being the observer.
These photographs have been untouched and are just as they appeared. The details are soft and gentle just as the cows energy appeared.
