This image is #183 of #200
My Inspiration for this Artwork was taking a sad moment and turning it around.
This Photograph is one of my most favorites. It is just the perfect photograph! Everything was really working together to capture a beautiful reflection.
I had gone to Haven of Rest in Gig Harbor Washington. What started out as such a sad moment suddenly became like a Gift from My Mom in Heaven.
As I stood their crying and missing my Mom it was as if I heard her whisper to me. "Barb, don’t be sad Honey… look around at all the Beauty around You!"
As I looked around I saw this reflection in the pond. I pulled out my camera and captured the Gift from My Mom. Yes, as I looked around I did see Beauty! There is a spectacular view of Gig Harbor from that vantage point. No where can you see this view of the Harbor. Beautiful!
I Love You Mom and I miss your smile and your hugs every day. Thank you for the reminder to stop and look around or you might just miss the beauty that surrounds you.
Back in 2014 I went through thousands of files of My Artwork that I had done over the years and chose 200 of My Favorites.
It was a very long and tedious procedure to go through file after file after file to choose only a few. Each image was part of a Family because I tend to do what I call "Collections"
I make what I call the Parent Image and then that image has Children and those Children have Children and then like a Family there are Cousins and an endless array of Images.
I Hope You enjoy a Few of My Favorites that were chosen in 2014

A beautiful and touching moment captured so well. I like the symmetry and reflection but mostly the peaceful feeling imbued in this image
