Public Service Message Please DON'T TEXT AND DRIVE!
As Artist we have the opportunity to Impact the Public through our Artwork. It is our responsibility to bring awareness through our Art whenever possible.
I find it deeply troubling to see people Texting while driving. In Texas a law was passed to make it illegal to Text and Drive. Yet people continue to do it.
They not only risk their life but the lives of everyone around them.
It is my Intent to remind people of the IMPACT of their Actions!
The message is simple:
Please Don't Text and Drive! Stay off your Phone!
I want Drivers to concentrate on the road and what is happening around them making the road a safer place for all of us.
Here is a little more information about the original photograph used for this Artwork. Please Note the driver was not on their phone.
On Saturday October 17, 2015 (10/17/15) I went to a concert at the Nutty Brown Cafe & Amphitheater in Austin Texas.
It was so Fun to see and hear the Eli Young Band. I also got to here Randy Rogers and Chris Janson Bands. I took well over 1,000 photographs that night.
Well, while waiting to turn into the concert a car was in found of us and it was such a pretty purple color and so I pulled out my camera a snapped a picture. (I wasn't driving I was a passenger)
Sometimes I just take some random shots and then later on down the road I turn them into some Art.
As I was working on the Arty Photograph it came to me to use it to send a Public Awareness Message. So this is the story behind the image.
Please Don't Text and Drive! Stay off your Phone!!
